A guided Yoga Nidra meditation practice of deep rest to re-connect with The Presence Within (37 minutes), created and led by qualified British female Yoga Teacher and Yoga Nidra facilitator, Kate Rock. This practice is offered to give you the time and space to re-connect to the place within - the constant presence within. I hope it offers you the space to “awaken to the mystery of being here and enter the quiet immensity of your own presence.” (John O’Donohue) The quiet immensity of your own presence. It's in the space in this presence - this steadfast, unwavering presence - that allows us to see things as they really are. If we can open up to trust both ourselves, and this presence within. The practice includes all stages, with breath work incorporating the seven main chakras; it is a practice suitable for everyone. Yoga Nidra effortlessly takes us to different states of awareness, consciousness. It is the recognition of ourselves as pure awareness. And it offers the precious invitation to wake up to what is real.   Yoga Nidra, truly is, awakened sleep. In the practice, your body will enjoy mindful, deep rest, with your brain waves slowing down to those seen in the deepest of sleeps. And your mind will sleep, but your consciousness is invited tto remain completely alert and awake. All by doing absolutely nothing. This is a voice only and extended version of the recently published practice, The Light of Awareness. Created and led by me, Kate Rock, a qualified British female Yoga Teacher and Yoga Nidra facilitator, dedicated to the practice. I was going to publish this on my Patreon page but as some of you have reached out requesting it, I've decided to publish here as well. I hope you enjoy! This practice has been inspired by the book AWARENESS by Anthony de Mello, a wonderful collection of learnings and teachings by the Indian priest and psychotherapist (link below). De Mello encourages us to cultivate a state of present-moment awareness, free from the constraints of the ego and attachment; rather, emphasising the practice of observation and detachment as a path towards inner freedom and awakening, ultimately leading to a life of greater joy and fulfilment. And the first step in the book is to wake up……really wake up.  And Yoga Nidra, as summed up so well by the teacher and author Rod Stryker, is “waking up to reality - with a capital R” Yoga Nidra is a practice which effortlessly takes us to different states of awareness, consciousness. It is the recognition of ourselves as pure awareness. And it offers the precious invitation to wake up to what is real.   Yoga Nidra, truly is, awakened sleep.
